-77% Best Target Deals — Circle Bonus & Weekly Markdowns
By the Run Run Deals editorial team Updated September 16, 2026 As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. We may earn a commission when you buy through other partner links.
Target plays the discount game differently from Walmart and Amazon. Instead of constant rollback prices, Target leans on three layers: personalized Circle bonus offers in the app (5 to 25% off categories you actually shop), a Sunday-to-Saturday weekly ad with featured markdowns, and aggressive end-cap clearance with a hidden price-ending code system that signals how deep the discount goes. The list below pulls items where one or more of those layers stacks against a real recent price drop.
If you are not in the Target Circle app yet, sign up first; about half the items here only hit their best price for Circle members.

-70% Where Target genuinely beats other retailers
Target is not the cheapest store overall, but specific categories consistently deliver real value. These are the ones we shop there for:
- Kids clothing and back-to-school. Cat & Jack and All In Motion (Target house brands) match Carter\'s quality at 30 to 40% lower prices, with a 1-year wear-and-tear guarantee.
- Home goods and decor. Threshold, Project 62 and Hearth & Hand exclusive lines compete with West Elm and Pottery Barn at half the price.
- Beauty and personal care. Target Circle runs 30% off entire beauty categories every six to eight weeks. Stacked with brand coupons, mid-tier names like CeraVe, e.l.f., Maybelline and Burt\'s Bees beat Sephora and Ulta pricing.
- Toys. Target exclusive LEGO sets, FAO Schwarz collabs and end-cap clearance often beat Walmart and Amazon, especially the week after major holidays.
- Grocery. Good & Gather (Target house brand) prices about 15% under name-brand equivalents at comparable quality.
How Target Circle actually works (and how to stack)
Target Circle is free. Sign up in the Target app or at target.com/circle. Once you are in, three savings layers stack on top of each other:
- Personalized Circle bonus offers. Each week your account loads with 5 to 25% category-specific deals (kids clothing, beauty, grocery). They apply automatically at checkout.
- Weekly ad sale prices. Friday-through-Sunday markdowns published in the weekly ad apply at register and online.
- Manufacturer coupons. Paper or digital coupons stack on top of the above layers.
Stack all three plus a 5% RedCard discount and you can routinely hit 40%+ off on items that look like they are at full price on the shelf.
Target buying tips
- Open the Target app first. Circle bonus offers are app-only. They do not show up at the register, on the website, or in your email. If you are about to walk into a Target without checking the app, you are leaving real money on the shelf.
- Read the price endings on clearance. Target uses a hidden three-stage clearance code: prices ending in .99 are the first markdown, .04 means second-stage cuts (around 50% off), and .98 is the floor (70%+ off, getting pulled soon). If something hits .98 and you want it, that is the moment.
- RedCard saves 5% every time. The debit version is linked to your bank account with no credit pull. Five percent off every purchase, online or in-store, no annual fee. Pays for itself the first time you do a Target Circle stack.
- Same-day pickup uses the same prices. Order through the app, drive to the store, pull up to the door. Circle bonus offers and weekly ad pricing both apply. About 90 minutes from order to pickup.
- Skip Target for premium electronics. Their pricing on TVs, laptops and headphones lags Best Buy and Amazon. The exception is Target Circle electronics promos that hit roughly every six to eight weeks; outside those, shop elsewhere.
